I go to London town at any given opportunity, I love it so much and it is definitely my favourite place to be. So talking about it in a blog post is a total must.<br><br /><br><br />So onto the questions :-)<br><br /><br><br /><b>Favourite Place for Breakfast - <a href="http://richouxknightsbridge.com/">Richoux</a>, Knightsbridge </b><br><br /><b><br></b><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sn4P-KCbyGQ/UQ_1qlodRTI/AAAAAAAADww/tkxFPkCN7Q4/s1600/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+17.53.17.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sn4P-KCbyGQ/UQ_1qlodRTI/AAAAAAAADww/tkxFPkCN7Q4/s600/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+17.53.17.png" width="500"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><span style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">The perfect place for a Sunday breakfast/brunch while waiting for Harrods to open. Opposite said department store is this little gem with a menu to cater for all appetites in the morning. Also great just for just sitting down and having a cuppa or a life giving cup of coffee, there is also a stunning collection of fresh cream cakes for your perusal at the counter.</span></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qhpuBKUj8es/UQ_1pdaYJdI/AAAAAAAADwo/7hAnRDzGPfs/s1600/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+17.49.25.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="390" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qhpuBKUj8es/UQ_1pdaYJdI/AAAAAAAADwo/7hAnRDzGPfs/s500/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+17.49.25.png" width="450"></a></div><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />The kedgeree is <i>uh-mazing.</i></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><i><br></i></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b>Favourite Boots and Superdrug - Both Westfield White City</b></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UmZiOLsMsPM/UQ_4HCcUxoI/AAAAAAAADw4/X4SgrGdbhok/s1600/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+18.03.55.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: right;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UmZiOLsMsPM/UQ_4HCcUxoI/AAAAAAAADw4/X4SgrGdbhok/s400/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+18.03.55.png" width="400"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Boots at Westfield is <i>huge</i>. It has everything, seriously. Superdrug there is equally cool. Westfield London itself is just cool though, full stop. So it's no surprise these two made it into this tag.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b>Favourite Beauty Hall - Selfridges, Oxford Street</b></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j_YbXfnTxFg/UQ_6Dc7kDMI/AAAAAAAADxA/Rt4w4O1rjPo/s1600/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+18.11.14.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j_YbXfnTxFg/UQ_6Dc7kDMI/AAAAAAAADxA/Rt4w4O1rjPo/s500/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+18.11.14.png" width="400"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />My favourite shop in the world. And apart from the usual brands in the main beauty hall, such as Estée Lauder, Origins, Dior etc; there is also the beauty workshop with more stunning brands such as Louise Young, REN, Aesop. It really is like walking into a parallel universe of all things beauty. With a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and knowledgable staff I'm always more than happy to spend time here.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b>Favourite Area for Everything - Oxford Street</b></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nPMacmkDESo/UQ_7aybL1II/AAAAAAAADxI/vYV15wE8Zg4/s1600/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+18.17.42.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="450" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nPMacmkDESo/UQ_7aybL1II/AAAAAAAADxI/vYV15wE8Zg4/s500/Screen+Shot+2013-02-04+at+18.17.42.png" width="450"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Hmm, I was kinda tempted to give Kensington a mention here but as I've only just recently started frequenting it I don't think putting it in this tag is quite justified yet. Although the Whole Foods store there does give it extra brownie points. So again, I've plumped for good old Oxford Street. A long street (but not too long) with a huge selection of stores and a plethora of restaurants down the side streets, I don't think you can go wrong really.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><div><br /><b>Favourite Park for Walks - Regents Park</b></div><br /><div><br /><br></div><br /><div><br />My reason for this is plain and simple. At the end of the park is one of my favourite attractions, London Zoo. I visit the zoo come rain, wind or shine. I love it and my favourite animals to see are the asian lions and their leader, Lucifer (pictured below)</div><br /></div><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><br /><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><br><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6T1d-K_-GHE/URAHyto11ZI/AAAAAAAADx0/hNa1V-TLy3U/s1600/luci.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6T1d-K_-GHE/URAHyto11ZI/AAAAAAAADx0/hNa1V-TLy3U/s500/luci.jpg" width="500"></a></td></tr><br /><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br></td></tr><br /></tbody></table><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b>Tip For The Tube - Appreciate it</b></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />I heart the tube. It is definitely the aspect of beauty which interests me the most and gives me the most enjoyment.<br><br /><br><br />So let's do it.....<br><br /><br><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><br /><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y8IBriUlhdw/UPK7EBBQKrI/AAAAAAAADrM/9uV5DpqBCbY/s1600/IMG_1956.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y8IBriUlhdw/UPK7EBBQKrI/AAAAAAAADrM/9uV5DpqBCbY/s320/IMG_1956.jpg" width="320"></a></td></tr><br /><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">An array of my skincare collection</td></tr><br /></tbody></table><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />I'm a greedy minx when it comes to skincare. Honestly, I can find a product which I absolutely love and which gives me the results I'm after, but then I'll <i>still</i> go looking elsewhere for other products. So as a result of this I don't tend to stick to exactly the same routine every day. Does that deserve a slapped wrist? I don't know, you tell me.</div><br /><br><br />Slapped wrist or not, I love the products I use and wanted to share them with you as I think I've found some gems.<br><br /><br><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b>Cleansers</b><br><br /><b><br></b><br /><b><br></b><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pFnSQ797SqI/UPK7Iq141RI/AAAAAAAADrU/ABko0WgOApg/s1600/IMG_1958.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pFnSQ797SqI/UPK7Iq141RI/AAAAAAAADrU/ABko0WgOApg/s320/IMG_1958.jpg" width="240"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br><br /><br><br />I've used facial washes for as long as I can remember, you know....gel cleansers, foaming facial washes but since reading blogs and being a little bit more informed, I feel the ones I was using may have been a little harsh on my skin and I was noticing some redness after cleansing. So recently I ventured into the world of cream cleansers. I had always been put off these as I found facial washes so quick and easy. With a cream cleanser, you have to have cotton wool pads and it's all just extra effort if you ask me. Sorry but I am beyond lazy. Anyway I use the Decléor Aroma Cleanse Essential Cleansing Milk after I've removed my eye make up and I haven't looked back. I love the fact it's paraben free and it leaves my skin feeling so clean and soft. After this I'll rinse my face with water, pat my face dry then apply moisturiser.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Right now I'm also using The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Cleansing Wash as over the last two months I've been having bad breakouts. I really don't know why this is happening as my skin is usually clear but I'm doing what I can to remedy it. I'm using the tea tree wash as an extra step after the Decléor but will not continue when the spots finally go. I recommend this wash as after I've used it, when I look at my skin the next day, the spots seem more dried out. I also haven't had as many fresh spots. I was literally getting a new one every day.</div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b>Toners</b><br><br /><b><br></b><br /><b><br></b><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-syR0AFSsUjs/UPK7MqbwY_I/AAAAAAAADrc/dZ1YB-8h4UE/s1600/IMG_1959.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-syR0AFSsUjs/UPK7MqbwY_I/AAAAAAAADrc/dZ1YB-8h4UE/s320/IMG_1959.jpg" width="240"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br><br /><br><br />Any skincare expert would probably lecture me on this section as to be honest, I find toners completely pointless. I rarely use it and when I do, I use them more as a facial spritz after I've moisturised. The one I'm using now is again from The Body Shop Tea Tree range, the Skin Clearing Toner. I have dispensed it into a spray bottle from Superdrug and I spray it onto the current problem areas of my skin either a few minutes after moisturising or during the day if my skin's feeling irritated. </div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />I will also sometimes use the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic as a facial spritz if my skin is feeling dry or lacklustre. This product is nothing special in my opinion but it's probably the best smelling toner of all the ones I've tried.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b>Serum</b><br><br /><b><br></b><br /><b><br></b><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O0-dSyN-dv8/UPK7NIR_3zI/AAAAAAAADrg/4rAZDVfc7VU/s1600/IMG_1963.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O0-dSyN-dv8/UPK7NIR_3zI/AAAAAAAADrg/4rAZDVfc7VU/s320/IMG_1963.jpg" width="240"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br><br /><br><br />Serums and moisturisers are undoubtedly the best part of the whole skincare routine for me. I love slathering them on, knowing I'm giving my skin the moisturisation it needs and also I love how they make my skin feel. I have one serum, namely Indeed Labs Hydraluron and I absolutely love it. I think it is the purest hyaluronic acid on the high street, which basically means it's going to make your skin hold loads of lovely moisture. It does work and I think it's something I'll always include in my routine, particularly during the colder months. </div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b>Moisturisers</b><br><br /><b><br></b><br /><b><br></b><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n62tmAxTm-Y/UPK7NyGfcuI/AAAAAAAADrw/tE1oclLQbNU/s1600/IMG_1969.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n62tmAxTm-Y/UPK7NyGfcuI/AAAAAAAADrw/tE1oclLQbNU/s320/IMG_1969.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br><br /><br><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />For moisturisers, I do tend to chop and change but always find myself going back to Origins. This is just such a stunning brand and my skin loves their face creams. I'm also currently using a couple of The Body Shop face lotions from the Tea Tree Range including the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion and Blemish Fade Night Lotion. These two combined with the facial wash have made such a difference to my skin lately and have helped clear up the blemishes I've been getting. If you are having problem skin I really recommend trying this range.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />From Origins I'll either use A Perfect World SPF 35 or the All-Purpose High-Elevation Cream. The latter is one of my holy grail products. I wrote a post on it a couple of months ago, which I link later on in this post, if you'd like to know more. But it is just so good for dry skin. It is so moisturising and leaves my skin feeling and looking amazing. I will even leave the house without any make up on at all when I'm wearing it so that's says something. Although I won't stay outside long as it has no SPF so please bear that in mind if you are interested in the cream. The Perfect World SPF 35 is a much lighter cream, more for use in Summer when my skin doesn't need that bit extra moisture.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />The moisturisers mentioned above are the ones I'll mostly use as part of my day skincare routine. At night time I am dedicated to the one and only Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins. This is a renewal cream that gives instant results and although it renews the skin cells it is gentle enough to use every day. It's so good for night time too because it has a beautiful citrus essential oil scent that I find so calming and it just feels beautiful on the skin and for me personally it has a warming sensation. It is absolutely stunning. God I could build a shrine to it to be honest.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b>Eye Creams</b><br><br /><b><br></b><br /><b><br></b><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZQqYvmB5uwg/UPK7NJmLtVI/AAAAAAAADrk/GNA9trvzxac/s1600/IMG_1965.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZQqYvmB5uwg/UPK7NJmLtVI/AAAAAAAADrk/GNA9trvzxac/s320/IMG_1965.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b><br></b><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />As for eye creams, I've yet to find one that I really love and keep going back to, but I am interested in trying the <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/Eye-Concentrate-For-Wrinkles/MUK200006278,en_GB,pd.html?start=6&q=strivectin">Strivectin Eye Concentrate</a>. However, at the moment I'm using Origins Youthtopia and Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Moisturizing Eye Cream and I feel both are working for me. My fine lines are barely visible and I do not suffer from any dryness around my eye area. Although to be honest I wouldn't repurchase the Elizabeth Arden as it contains a paraben and I try to steer clear of products with these in. </div><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><br></b></div><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><b>Treatments/Masks</b></div><br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b><br></b><br /><br><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gp7mhfax6zs/UPK7ORPoIKI/AAAAAAAADrs/z-JP221FqGU/s1600/IMG_1970.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gp7mhfax6zs/UPK7ORPoIKI/AAAAAAAADrs/z-JP221FqGU/s320/IMG_1970.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />This is another part of skincare I really enjoy, particularly masks. It feels so good when you take off a face mask and see instant results. One mask in particular that I use does exactly this. It's the REN Glycolactic Renewal Mask. This is a mask I will repurchase over and over. My skin feels so soft after use and this product basically does what it says on the tin. I blogged about this <a href="http://legseleven7.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/a-couple-of-product-raves-ren-and.html">here</a>, should you like to know more.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />I also use mud masks, including The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask, Superdrug sachet masks and Origins Clear Improvement. All these are clay like and dry hard on your face and are really great for drawing out impurities and really sloughing away the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. I will only use the Tea Tree from Body Shop on my blemished areas as it is quite harsh but the other masks, I'll use all over. </div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />When my skin is feeling really dry I'll use the Neals Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm as an overnight mask. This is a really thick balm so it really intensively moisturises and my skin feels so nourished after use. This is another holy grail product for me. It has a beautiful relaxing herbal scent and can also be used as a cleansing balm, and a mild exfoliant by using the muslin cloth it comes with to wipe it from your face. Really recommend if you're looking to give your skin a real treat.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Once a week I use the Alpha H Liquid gold Glycolic Acid. I don't look forward to using this product at all. I feel so bad sending my skin to bed with a load of acid on it instead of it's usual gorgeously moisturising lotions and potions but hey ho it seems to work. When I wake up my skin does look plumped and smooth. However I do find this doesn't really last and my skin does not stay plumped. So I'm not sure whether to repurchase this once I'm done with it as I'm not sure what the positive long term effects are, or if there are any. If you know, do please let me know in the comments.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />On my blemishes I'll also use the Origins Spot Remover Gel. This stuff does work. I would say it makes spots heal twice as quick. It will not stop new spots from appearing but it is a good fairly quick fix for a bad blemish if you need it.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />Lastly, just a quick note about my lips. I <i>love</i> the Antipodes Organic Lip Balm. This is the only stick balm/salve I've found that actually works. It keeps my lips moisturised for aaaages after I've used it and I will always repurchase.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><b>The Tools</b></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />I know this post is lengthy but I can't finish it without letting you know what cloths etc; that I use as part of my routine.</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zFleWBEa5VE/UPLHfy5epgI/AAAAAAAADss/UN4BFbZIPM0/s1600/IMG_1971.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zFleWBEa5VE/UPLHfy5epgI/AAAAAAAADss/UN4BFbZIPM0/s320/IMG_1971.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />So for cleansing with the Decleor cleansing milk I'll use cotton wool pads. These are available anywhere and are just the best thing for cleansing and removing eye make up. If I'm using a facial wash I'll use an Ole Henriksen Complexion Sponge as it's good for lathering the wash and I feel it gives my skin more of a good cleanse than just using my fingers as it also sloughs away any dead skins cells. The Ole Henriksen sponges are available from <a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/Ole-Henriksen-Complexion-Sponges---2-Pack">Feel Unique</a>. They come to you just as two flat pads but puff up to a generous sized face sponge.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Like so :-)</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><br /><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zjL5SHbsGNg/UPLG324mEVI/AAAAAAAADsk/dMwp3Aq4kog/s1600/Screen+Shot+2013-01-13+at+14.36.56.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="318" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zjL5SHbsGNg/UPLG324mEVI/AAAAAAAADsk/dMwp3Aq4kog/s320/Screen+Shot+2013-01-13+at+14.36.56.png" width="320"></a></td></tr><br /><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Before water (left) and After being soaked in water (right)<br>Cute huh?</td></tr><br /></tbody></table><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /> </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Sometimes if I don't have a sponge handy, I'll use an Emma Hardie cloth. These are just like face flannels except they have one side as a muslin exfoliating cloth. You can get packs of three for £10 from <a href="http://www.bathandunwind.com/emma-hardie/emma-hardie-amazing-face-natural-lift-and-sculpt-dual-action-professional-cleansing-cloths.htm">Bath and Unwind</a>. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Well that's my skincare..... Writing this post has made me realise how many products I actually use. I hope you stuck with me. I've really been enjoying these lately and wanted to share.<br><br /><br><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MNNj62xjFBI/UOGy8LbZCZI/AAAAAAAADmU/LT4PbB_l3lM/s1600/IMG_1866.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MNNj62xjFBI/UOGy8LbZCZI/AAAAAAAADmU/LT4PbB_l3lM/s500/IMG_1866.jpg" width="450"></a></div><br /><br><br /><b><br></b><br /><b>Neal's Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm - </b>A gorgeous subtle, calming scented balm which can be used as an overnight treatment to really rehydrate skin, a face mask when layered on thick or a cleansing balm. My skin feels amazing whichever way I use it.<br><br /><br><br /><b>Jo Malone Blue Agave and Cacao Cologne - </b>My new obsession (as well as Pomegranate Noir). I received both for Christmas and they are just stunningly deep sophisticated scents. They are the only perfumes which stay true on me and last ages on the skin. Recommend.<br><br /><br><br /><b>Origins All Purpose High Elevation Cream - </b>My favourite brand strikes again. I reviewed this a few weeks ago (scroll down to see). When my skin is thirsty this stuff just quenches it perfectly. It gives my skin a healthy glow and hydrates it to the max. I even feel confident enough to leave my house without a scrap of make up when I've used this. I love it and it's my friend :-)<br><br /><br><br /><b>Soap & Glory Heel Genius - </b>This is one of the few foot creams that actually makes a difference to my poor old feet. I have two jobs, both of which I have to stand up all day for so my feet love me when I slather this on. I always put a pair of socks on after use and I think it must be the fruit acids in it that make the hard skin on my feet feel a lot softer. Very happy with this.<br><br /><br><br /><b>Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo - </b>I think I'm late on the bandwagon but I only just discovered this sulfate free brand. Usually sulfate free shampoos don't lather up on me (and I love a good lather, it makes me feel like I've really <i>cleaned</i> my hair) but this produces a lather as good as any other shampoo. This makes me wonder what's actually in it to make it produce so much foam though but hey ho. The consistency is a bit jelly-ish making it harder to control in your hands but on the whole a brilliant shampoo that leaves your hair feeling clean, healthy and soft. The Moroccan Argan Oil and Coconut ones are also nice. I think there is a Macadamia Oil one coming out too which I'd be very keen to try.<br><br /><br><br /><b>GoodSkin Labs BB10 Instant Skin Perfector spf 35* - </b>I must admit I'm not down with the BB cream 'phenomenon'. My experience of them can be summed up in one word. <i>Orange</i>. I had never found one that suited me.... until I was lucky enough to try this. It's the perfect shade for my fair skin and although it doesn't give too much coverage, it evens out my skin tone and makes me glow. Love it.<br><br /><br><br /><b>Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation - </b>No doubt you've all heard how amazing this is. However, we can no longer get our make up loving mitts on this. So I'll say no more except that it is the perfect foundation :-/<br><br /><br><br /><b>NARS Blush in Exhibit A - </b>Scarily red in the pan but gives a natural and lasting flush to the cheeks. I'm loving it. Except for one thing. I've had major cheek breakouts lately and I've realised it's since I used this. Has anyone else noticed any reactions from a NARS blush?<br><br /><br><br /><b>Illamasqua Gleam Highlighter in 'Aurora' - </b>I love this because it does exactly what it says on the tin. It makes your cheekbones gleam. It has no shimmer and this suits me as I love a really smooth sheen on my cheeks and this gives me that. Another good highlight which also gives sheen and no shimmer is Benefit Sunbeam. This isn't pictured as I've run out but it's another illuminating product I love when I'm not using Gleam.<br><br /><br><br /><b>Real Techniques Stippling Brush -</b> This is what I use for applying the Gleam. The size and density make it perfect for applying product to my cheekbones, nose and cupid's bow.<br><br /><br><br /><b>Antipodes Organic Lip Balm - lime leaf & cocoa butter - </b>I'm really fussy about lip balms and will only use them if they absolutely drench my lips with moisture, that lasts. For a stick lip balm this does just that and I will continue to use it. It's so handy and easy to use too. It also smells sweet and has no nasty taste. Love it.<br><br /><br><br />So those are my current loves. Are you using any of the same?<br><br /><br><br />Just before I go, I wish you all a Happy New Year, have a good one!!<br><br /><br><br />*PR Sample<br /><div style="clear: both;"></div><br />Ines Jimenezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00431585402469529573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8689412641118162884.post-71423355418089765682012-11-14T15:00:00.004-08:002014-04-22T10:07:12.272-07:00I'm Obsessed With Candles<br />Today we're talking scented candles. Maybe I don't read enough blogs but I don't really see too many posts about candle collections even though we seem to be constantly nattering about them on Twitter.<br><br /><br><br />So onto the scented, waxy goodness.<br><br /><br><br />Here are the candles I'm currently burning.<br><br /><br><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HMStaikzEn4/UJKbjyEEV_I/AAAAAAAADdI/Ul0Hl_WncGQ/s1600/IMG_1582.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HMStaikzEn4/UJKbjyEEV_I/AAAAAAAADdI/Ul0Hl_WncGQ/s400/IMG_1582.jpg" width="400"> </a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><b><i>Back row</i></b>: Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie, The White Company Winter, Archipelago Peony</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><b><i>Front Row</i></b>: The White Company Cassis, NEOM Invigorate, Yankee Candle Clean Cotton</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br />My absolute favourites right now are from the White Company. I've known about them for ages but have never really taken much notice until the other day when I saw the 'Winter' candle in Selfridges. This utterly gorgeous candle is basically Christmas in a bee-yoo-tiful jar. You smell it and I'm not joking all you can do with yourself is feel festive. It is uh-mazing. It has scents of cinnamon, clove and orange and I really recommend you go sniff it.<br><br /><br><br /><br><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><br /><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JuvgQDgB3Vk/UJKbgU2YxsI/AAAAAAAADdA/lSvP1MsdNes/s1600/Screen+Shot+2012-11-01+at+15.55.21.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JuvgQDgB3Vk/UJKbgU2YxsI/AAAAAAAADdA/lSvP1MsdNes/s800/Screen+Shot+2012-11-01+at+15.55.21.png" width="550"></a></td></tr><br /><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The White Company Winter. Stunning packaging.</td></tr><br /></tbody></table><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Another thing I love about this candle is that it has three wicks so it should burn evenly. If you read my 'things I'm loving this week' post two posts ago, you'll have heard me grumbling about my Archipelago Peony candle which only has one wick in the centre. It looks awful after burning so unevenly due to the single wick. That post also describes the scent of it.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I can't wait to start burning Winter and will probably have it on while I put my Christmas decorations up.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />So with the three wicks in the Winter candle it is very similar to my second favourite brand of candle, NEOM Organics.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The first one I tried from them was the Happiness candle which is absolutely lush and I plan to put it on my Christmas list as I <i>need</i> another. I love how with NEOM the wax looks so creamy and good quality. The other one I am currently trying is Invigorate. The scents in this are grapefruit, bergamot and lime. I've nearly finished this candle and to be honest I prefer the smell of when it's not burning. When it is alight it's just not the same and is also quite weak. It is still a quality candle though and the burning scent of it is down to personal taste. The NEOM candles are large with beautiful packaging, and use vegetable wax and essential oils which justifies the price tag of around £40. </div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The price of the Winter candle from The White Company is £55 and is considerably larger than the NEOM. It is made of refined mineral wax. I'm not too sure about what this is and whether or not it's as good as vegetable wax. The other candle I'm enjoying from The White Company is Cassis. I purchased this in the smaller size for £20. This scent is reminiscent of berries and is quite fruity consisting of cassis, blackberries and cedar.</div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ByqHCVBij78/UJKjwEV3K3I/AAAAAAAADds/ATU7e7Kvdkg/s1600/IMG_1585.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ByqHCVBij78/UJKjwEV3K3I/AAAAAAAADds/ATU7e7Kvdkg/s400/IMG_1585.jpg" width="400"></a></div><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The last two candles are by Yankee Candle. I'm not a massive fan of Yankee anymore since trying NEOM and White Company. I have Clean Cotton and Christmas Cookie which are nice fragrances but once lit, I find them quite heady and sickly. Also the top of the jars seem to go black despite the fact I ensure the wicks are short before burning.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />What are your favourite candles and candle brands? If you've done a post on them or know of any posts on them that you think I'd like to read, please link me to them below.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="clear: both;"></div><br />Ines Jimenezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00431585402469529573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8689412641118162884.post-35778074014141938842012-11-14T15:00:00.003-08:002014-04-22T10:07:06.565-07:00Current Holy Grails<br />Hey beauts, hope you're having a fantastic weekend. I'm chilling out and pampering with a hair and face mask (namely Lee Staffford Treatment for t<br />800<br />hat hair never grows past a certain length and Origins Drink Up Intensive mask) and thought I'd share with you some of the products I'm currently using that I really don't want to live without.<br><br /><br><br />So here we have it.<br><br /><br><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zMl_YNGFeCs/UJ5mPFeZACI/AAAAAAAADfc/S-VA9Tnr6vE/s1600/IMG_1650.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zMl_YNGFeCs/UJ5mPFeZACI/AAAAAAAADfc/S-VA9Tnr6vE/s800/IMG_1650.jpg" width="500"></a></div><br /><br><br /><br><br /><i>Illamasqua Gleam</i> - OMG best cream highlighter I've ever used. The texture is almost like a paste which feels so satisfying to work with. I love it. It really does what it says on the tin. You will be gleaming and your cheekbones will look immense.<br><br /><br><br /><i>Tom Ford Lipsticks</i> - The beauty of these begins with the packaging. It's beautiful, weighty and just feels like pure luxury. There's an amazing colour range, they glide on, have staying power and I will be buying more. From left to right I have Scarlet Rouge, Nude Vanille, and Wild Ginger. All are perfect on my pale complexion.<br><br /><br><br /><i>DIOR Forever Foundation</i> - I speak for all Dior face products in this paragraph, not just the foundation. From the face powders, through to the bronzers and foundations Dior gives you amazing coverage and also leaves you with an effortless, long lasting luminosity. This foundation is aptly named because I will use it Forever.<br><br /><br><br /><i>Lady Gaga Black Fluid</i> - I tried this in a Glossybox a couple of months back and it just has something about it. I'm not one for celebrity scents or anything celebrity to be honest but this just does it for me. It's sweet but not overly so and I wear it every day. It makes me happy.<br><br /><br><br /><i>Origins High Potency Night - A - Mins</i> - This is a renewal cream that smells like oranges. I LOVE the scent of it although it's not <br />8000<br />for everyone. I use it every other night before bed and it really does rejuvenate the skin. When I've applied it my skin feels warm and just comfortable and cosy if you know what I mean. I wake up with glowing, soft skin the next day too. Absolute winner.<br><br /><br><br /><i>Topshop Glitter polishes</i> - I don't think I've ever heard a bad word about Topshop nail products and I'm not surprised. They are gorgeous. I've heard people say the £6 price tag is a bit steep but I disagree. For me what's steep is Chanel charging around £16 for a polish that lasts about an hour before chipping. Topshop's £6 for quality long lasting, beautiful looking polish is fine by me. And what's more the glitter particles and plentiful and easy to apply onto the nail. These look great over metallic polishes and darker coloured polishes. From left to right I have Ice Crush and Panther.<br><br /><br><br /><i>Skinetica Anti Blemish</i> - I received this in last month's Glossybox. My skin is pretty good on the whole but I'm prone to a couple of blemishes from time to time. I've been dabbing this on as soon as they appear and I would definitely say they heal in half the time after using this. It doesn't dry the skin out around the blemishes either. It is described on the the bottle as 'kind to skin' which is great if you ask me.<br><br /><br><br />So there's a quick round up of some of my beauty staples right now.<br><br /><br><br />Which products can't you live without at the mo?<br /><div style="clear: both;"></div><br />Ines Jimenezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00431585402469529573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8689412641118162884.post-2827910308158002332012-11-14T15:00:00.002-08:002014-04-22T10:07:00.532-07:00Remembering You<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-49SsQ-QuxeQ/UJ-Y9GASUeI/AAAAAAAADg4/yU_pC0HUwYw/s1600/lestwe_forget.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-49SsQ-QuxeQ/UJ-Y9GASUeI/AAAAAAAADg4/yU_pC0HUwYw/s500/lestwe_forget.gif" width="350"></a></div><br /><br><br /><div style="clear: both;"></div><br />Ines Jimenezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00431585402469529573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8689412641118162884.post-27224688689136844882012-11-14T15:00:00.001-08:002014-04-22T10:06:52.231-07:00Recent Things I've Been Loving.....In Pictures<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />This is a bit of a random unplanned post but I've been taking a lot of photos recently and wanted to share some of the things I've been loving the last couple of weeks.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UUN80tZ36x0/UKejKjeHPaI/AAAAAAAADhg/-Jk-_iB9eps/s1600/IMG_1536.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UUN80tZ36x0/UKejKjeHPaI/AAAAAAAADhg/-Jk-_iB9eps/s400/IMG_1536.jpg" width="400"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />Topshop Nail Polish. Most fashion does tickle my fancy but the camo shirts and jackets I'm seeing are doing nothing for me at all. I do like the camouflage print but I kind of don't want too much of it at once if you know what I mean. Put just a hint of it on an accessory and I can deal.<br><br /><br><br /><span style="text-align: left;">So today my camo curiosity combined with my unrelenting love of studs led to me swiping a pair of these from River Island. </span><br><br /><span style="text-align: left;"><br></span><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><br /><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AsobgDgN10o/UKqIAOUvNoI/AAAAAAAADkA/a7XlQ-IR_Z4/s1600/IMG_1710.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="500" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AsobgDgN10o/UKqIAOUvNoI/AAAAAAAADkA/a7XlQ-IR_Z4/s500/IMG_1710.jpg" width="400"></a></td></tr><br /><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">£75 River Island</td></tr><br /></tbody></table><br /><br><br />Nothing could stop me buying these. I've been lemming a pair of high tops with the hidden heel, but nothing was really jumping out at me. These were worth the wait. They are like nothing else I own and I just <i>needed</i> them. This week as I'm on annual leave from work I've just been doing the things I love, relaxing and pampering. I had my hair cut with a new hairdresser at HOB salons (nothing drastic just a trim as I'm trying to grow my hair again now), managed to fit some gym sessions in, been shopping & had coffee with friends.<br><br /><br><br />So I thought I'd share some photos I've taken through the week.<br><br /><br><br />Product wise these items are staples for me at the mo.<br><br /><br><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-23vJntVhJfA/UI1ZBGrOznI/AAAAAAAADZY/tuCXydJSd1k/s1600/IMG_1555.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-23vJntVhJfA/UI1ZBGrOznI/AAAAAAAADZY/tuCXydJSd1k/s400/IMG_1555.jpg" width="400"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The Topshop nail polish on the left in Hidden Treasure looks beaut with the Ice Crush glitter polish on top. Hidden Treasure is a duochrome polish that reminds me of petrol when you see it on the ground in fuel station forecourts. Its like a greeny gold. Love it. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I've been removing my nail polish with NPW Nail Polish Remover Pads. Since I picked these up from Selfridges in the beauty workshop I haven't bought any other type of nail polish remover. These are seriously good and even remove glitter relatively easily. They are around the £2 mark for one pot and if you can't get to Selfridges you can find them <a href="http://www.npw.co.uk/search.html?q=nail+polish+remover&submit-form.x=0&submit-form.y=0">here</a>. They are also highly moisturising on the nails.</div><br /><br><br /><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The two lipsticks are from Tom Ford. I am in <i>love</i> with these. They are the best lipsticks I've used. The ones I have are Scarlet Rouge and Nude Vanille. Black Orchid is next on my list.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />More beauty products I've been raving about are these.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0mYn10UVssI/UI1Y_ikX8XI/AAAAAAAADZQ/ZiXGRBAe_TQ/s1600/IMG_1554.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0mYn10UVssI/UI1Y_ikX8XI/AAAAAAAADZQ/ZiXGRBAe_TQ/s400/IMG_1554.jpg" width="400"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I always find mud/clay masks are the best for really making a difference to my complexion and recently purchased the Origins Clear Improvment Charcoal mask which is a good one, but to be honest I've found the 99p mud mask sachets from Superdrug much better. My skin seriously looks glowy, revitalised and really clear after using these. I'm not kidding they are <i>amazing</i>.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I've also been really taking care of my hair over the last few months. I stopped using any form of heat on it for almost three months and have been deep conditioning it frequently. I like to put an intensive conditioning treatment or oil on it and leave it to sink in for half hour to forty five minutes. I've noticed a huge difference in the softness of my hair from doing this and am hoping it will help it to grow longer quicker too. The conditioning oil I'm using at the moment for the treatments is Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse which I received in a glossy box. I would definitely purchase this product once my sample runs out and am also keen to try other products by the brand.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />This week I have turned into a bath convert. I'm definitely a shower girl and can honestly say that before this week I hadn't had a bath in years. But seeing all the pictures that you guys Instagram of your Lush baths has got me lemming some Lush bath bomb action. So to celebrate this I treated myself to a couple of Lush products.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h7TwJ-Ah3cE/UI1Y-czd5CI/AAAAAAAADZE/dXAovksKXgM/s1600/IMG_1553.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h7TwJ-Ah3cE/UI1Y-czd5CI/AAAAAAAADZE/dXAovksKXgM/s400/IMG_1553.jpg" width="400"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I love the fact you can actually shake Golden Wonder like a present and am hooked on the smell of the Comforter. For me it's the ultimate bathtime scent. I can't wait to chuck Golden Wonder into my bath. Hehe.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Food wise I've been enjoying chowing down on this little lot. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><br /><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iihn77siqh8/UI1Y9PDgfhI/AAAAAAAADZA/NtImtoZKmto/s1600/IMG_1550.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iihn77siqh8/UI1Y9PDgfhI/AAAAAAAADZA/NtImtoZKmto/s400/IMG_1550.jpg" width="400"></a></td></tr><br /><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Gutted the Mars Caramel are just limited edition :(</td></tr><br /></tbody></table><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br /> </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The Heston Blumental for Waitrose meals are seriously tasty and the quality of them is lovely. They are around £5 each I think and I really recommend them. The lasagne is yum too.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I'm really into burning candles at the moment and feel at this time of year they add a bit of cosiness. My favourite one right now is Peony by Archipelago which I purchased from Selfridges.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RfW6i6qVz9Q/UI1jgFOUsqI/AAAAAAAADak/xsvVGFKtMRc/s1600/Screen+Shot+2012-10-28+at+15.58.14.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" 6000="" height="263" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RfW6i6qVz9Q/UI1jgFOUsqI/AAAAAAAADak/xsvVGFKtMRc/s400/Screen+Shot+2012-10-28+at+15.58.14.png" width="400"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I love this scent. It has a clean but musky, herbal fragrance. It is strong in a really nice way and kinda reminds me of men's aftershave, which is good for me as I don't really like floral scents. The only gripe I have about this candle is that it really needs two wicks. You can see how unevenly it has burnt and this is a real let down, especially since the price is £25. It's such a shame about the wick because due to this I will not be purchasing anymore of these candles. The other scents available are also amazing so this is disappointing :(</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />So like I said at the start I went to Top Gear Live this weekend. I'm a bit of a petrolhead and absolutely love the three guys from Top Gear. They are hilarious and Jeremy Clarkson is just outstanding.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /> <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gw4Rg38QoKA/UI1Y61cyt9I/AAAAAAAADYs/NpfNEgHqWyo/s1600/IMG_1547.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="336" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Gw4Rg38QoKA/UI1Y61cyt9I/AAAAAAAADYs/NpfNEgHqWyo/s400/IMG_1547.jpg" width="400"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I found the tickets to be slightly overpriced at £75 each but we did have the Gold passes. You could also buy Silver which were around £50 I think. The main part of the show was the stunt show and Top Gear show in the Live Action Arena. This made the £75 worth it to be honest as it was utterly brilliant. It included incredible stunts with things like cars and fire. It also included a live episode of Top Gear and basically a lot of fast cars doing donuts all over the place. My idea of heaven.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Here's a few pics of what I saw. If you're not a petrolhead sorry for the next few photos :-)</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yxx_9NgGu3k/UI1hbkVD8KI/AAAAAAAADZ8/twYdpbBsOKM/s1600/IMG_1512.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yxx_9NgGu3k/UI1hbkVD8KI/AAAAAAAADZ8/twYdpbBsOKM/s320/IMG_1512.jpg" width="240"></a></div><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9yAiudPK5Yc/UI1hfCNfDjI/AAAAAAAADaE/a_g9U_8wzQs/s1600/IMG_1514.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9yAiudPK5Yc/UI1hfCNfDjI/AAAAAAAADaE/a_g9U_8wzQs/s320/IMG_1514.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bp-gIas-5mM/UI1jlvvenmI/AAAAAAAADas/ja4FsviVmwQ/s1600/IMG_1510.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bp-gIas-5mM/UI1jlvvenmI/AAAAAAAADas/ja4FsviVmwQ/s320/IMG_1510.jpg" width="320"></a> </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Yes, I do like grey cars.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rP0Dh7sdbJc/UI1hiC-sNuI/AAAAAAAADaM/l9h-coARAS0/s1600/IMG_1520.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rP0Dh7sdbJc/UI1hiC-sNuI/AAAAAAAADaM/l9h-coARAS0/s320/IMG_1520.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br /><br><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U6LMiXyRviU/UI1huMOFNaI/AAAAAAAADaU/PujoFCGABus/s1600/IMG_1524.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U6LMiXyRviU/UI1huMOFNaI/AAAAAAAADaU/PujoFCGABus/s320/IMG_1524.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br /><br><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><br /><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zvsuLpROaQM/UI1hvB8XGYI/AAAAAAAADac/idnX7d5VzdI/s1600/IMG_1528.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zvsuLpROaQM/UI1hvB8XGYI/AAAAAAAADac/idnX7d5VzdI/s320/IMG_1528.jpg" width="320"></a></td></tr><br /><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A Porsche on fire. And I would imagine most of us own the Alpha-H Liquid Gold Glycolic Acid. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />This 'peel' mask (as in it kinda emulates a facial peel I guess) works in the same way as the Alpha H to brighten up our complexion, by getting rid of all the dead skin cells, combatting spots and blemishes and reducing the appearance of fine lines.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I'm all for products that will brighten my skin and also reduce fine lines. Being in my 30's has turned me into a bit of an anti-aging obsessive. I'll try anything, lol.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />So I've used this a few times and I'm really quite happy with it. It has a thick gel consistency and has what I think is supposed to be a fruity apricot-y maybe papaya kind of scent. It's neither unpleasant nor particularly pleasant in my opinion. It also comes with a muslin cloth that you are supposed to use to rinse it off with. I don't use it though, as I prefer to use the Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask <a href="http://uk.lizearle.com/books-and-accessories/deep-cleansing-mask-sponges.html">Sponges</a> to remove face masks.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The directions say to apply the glycolactic mask to clean skin on the face and neck and leave for 10 minutes. I always leave masks on for longer than this (like 20 minutes) as I just feel it gives them more time to work, but it's not necessary.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />After I've rinsed off the mask my skin feels soooooo smooth, it's incredible. And after I've applied my Hydraluron serum and Antipodes moisturiser my skin just seems to glow underneath them. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Apparently it's normal to get a tingling sensation from this mask. And although I get this with the Alpha H, I don't experience it at all with the REN. But then Alpha H is pure acid and this mask isn't.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I can't say I've noticed an improvement with my blemishes from using this but then I do tend to chop and change my face masks so I guess more constant use would be more accurate for a review of the spots and blemishes aspect of it.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />However, as far as immediate results go, I cannot fault this product and will repurchase for sure. The fact that there are no parabens, mineral oils and other nasties in this product is also a bonus.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />This retails at £30 for 50 ml. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Ok, onto Origins, a brand I cannot get enough of.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I have been enjoying the All-Purpose High-Elevation Cream for dry skin relief.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-E4FcYUBARm8/UJGXXQLt75I/AAAAAAAADcY/GAeVoLv44lc/s1600/IMG_1577.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-E4FcYUBARm8/UJGXXQLt75I/AAAAAAAADcY/GAeVoLv44lc/s320/IMG_1577.jpg" width="240"></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />The fact I use a cream for 'dry skin relief' makes it seem like my skin is massively dry. This is not the case but I have definitely noticed more dryness in the last couple of years so I must admit I do enjoy slapping on quite rich creams. I like my skin to look glowy and radiant, and I feel this is more likely to happen if I use thicker creams to keep it quenched with moisture.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />This is a bit of a multi purpose cream which I really like. It can be used anywhere from your tummy to your face to your hands. Sunflower oil and Shea butter are some of the nourishing ingredients. The smell of this cream is nothing to shout about, I think the oils in it are what comprise most of the scent. I can't really describe it but it's not sweet at all, just basic but not too unpleasant. Although it might not be everyone's cup of tea so I would recommend having a sniff before buying to be honest.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />In texture, the cream is quite thick, not runny at all but it sinks in effortlessly, leaving no residue. Although on the face, unless you have seriously, seriously dry skin you may notice a slight dewy film but I don't mind that in this cream as I only use it at night so it doesn't matter if my skin looks a bit shiny. I actually quite like using creams at night that leave a bit of residue. It makes me feel like they are doing something. I know that's probably wrong but I enjoy it. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Sorry if I'm being dumb but one thing that confused me on the packaging is that it says 'this hydrator is specifically created for the mile-high moisture needs of our customers in Denver, Colorado'. I haven't noticed anything like this written on a cream before and I found it a bit strange, almost like the cream isn't for me as I don't live in Denver, lol?!</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />What does this mean Origins? </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />I've also been taking this out with me in my handbag to use as a hand cream. It's such a great multi tasker and a product I will buy time and time again.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />This retails for £23 for 75 ml.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />Have you tried either of these products? What are your opinions on them?</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /><br></div><br /><div style="clear: both;"></div><br />Ines Jimenezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00431585402469529573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8689412641118162884.post-68512046016060515992011-07-14T15:00:00.000-07:002014-04-22T10:07:44.428-07:00I have a new blog<br />Hey ladies,<div><br></div><div>Just a heads up on my new blog. The prices are so reasonable and I always receive my orders in around a week. The reason for my latest order was because after watching <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIdr4ejFkKw">Sarah's vlog</a> I saw one of the megashine lipglosses in Smokey Look and <i>loved</i> the look of it. Whilst putting it in my basket on the web site I noticed they also had lip lacquer pots. These are only around £4 each so I was definitely going to try one. And of course it was going to be the peachy nude one which is called Georgia Peach.</div><div><div><br></div><div><br></div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIJWIA-OP2I/AAAAAAAACoo/mV3A2-hICG4/s1600/IMG_2505.JPG"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIJWIA-OP2I/AAAAAAAACoo/mV3A2-hICG4/s400/IMG_2505.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513063589554831202" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 223px; "></a><div style="text-align: center; ">Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Smokey Look</div><div style="text-align: center; ">and Lip Lacquer Pot in Georgia Peach</div><br><div>And here's some swatches for you:</div></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIJWw4CBSaI/AAAAAAAACo4/HqjplQtGEcM/s1600/IMG_2506.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIJWw4CBSaI/AAAAAAAACo4/HqjplQtGEcM/s400/IMG_2506.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513064291529476514"></a><br><div>I really recommend the Mega Shine Lip Glosses by NYX. I also have the Goddess Of The Night lip gloss in Natural which is pictured below.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); "><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIJXWgERaeI/AAAAAAAACpA/U_FLiNznMLM/s400/IMG_2507.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513064937931500002" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div><br></div><div>These glosses are so moisturising and last for ages. They are pigmented but they're not opaque and give a perfect colour pay off if you just want a little hint of colour on your lips. I usually wear mine when I go to the gym. I don't wear make up to the gym but I must have plump shiny lips at all times. That's just how it is :)</div><div><br></div><div>As for the lip lacquer pot, I'm loving it. I'm not a massive fan of lip products that have to be applied with fingers but I'm loving the milky look this gives my lips. It's also amazing over a nude lipstick. Last night I wore it over Estee Lauder Vanilla Truffle, which by the way is my holy grail nude.</div><div><br></div><div>And just randomly, I felt like throwing in my favourite brushes right now.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIJaJ_aHTaI/AAAAAAAACpI/73HfC3xSMtw/s400/IMG_2511.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513068021541195170" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div><br></div><div>MAC 129 for blush</div><div>Inglot 28PO for lid colour. </div><div>MAC 239 for lid colour and lower lashline.</div><div>MAC 224 for undereye concealer</div><div>Sigma SS182 for finishing powder (right now it's Benefit One Hot Minute)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIJbgS0WlgI/AAAAAAAACpQ/KvDoXuAQVuo/s400/IMG_2512.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513069504220272130" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br></span></div><div>Thanks for reading. As if getting out of work five hours early and also still getting paid for it wasn't amazing enough, when I walked in the front door there was a parcel from <a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/">Look Fantastic</a>.</div><div><br></div><div>I was clean out of fake tan so a couple of days ago I went online shopping for more because frankly I'm not ready just yet to be pale again. Grrrr Winter!!!!</div><div><br></div><div>I chose a couple of tans I haven't tried before.</div><div><br></div><div>I love mousse self tanners so I got the Xen Tan one and also thought I'd give He-Shi a go as well. I have a problem when I shop online in that I can never order just one thing. When that hauling urge takes over there is no stopping me, but what the heck!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIZO_W_OaQI/AAAAAAAACpY/awIlaff9pdE/s1600/IMG_2514.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIZO_W_OaQI/AAAAAAAACpY/awIlaff9pdE/s400/IMG_2514.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514181644171241730"></a><br><div>I also got the Xen Tan mitt which feels way softer and more velvety than my Superdrug one by the way so I can't wait to try it. </div><div><br></div><div>By the way at the moment on Look Fantastic when you buy the He-Shi self tan you get a free exfoliating body wash with it, which is always nice.</div><div><br></div><div>So far I've only taken the lid off the Xen Tan mousse as I was curious about the smell (in Youtube videos people always seem to rave about the scents) and OMG it is YUM. Even nicer than the dark lotion which I tried recently. </div><div><br></div><div>P.S Why it's called 'Dark Lotion' is beyond me. I have gone darker with gradual tanners to be honest. </div><div><br></div><div>So as the title of this post suggests, I do have other news. </div><div><br></div><div>Work has been stressful lately so on the way home today I felt it necessary to drop into Costa and also pick up some biccies, hehe.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIZYKeLcy8I/AAAAAAAACqg/vkfoSPVLlHg/s400/IMG_2516.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514191730684775362" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br></span></div><div>Stuffing my face with this little lot and tweeting to you lovelies definitely helped me feel better :)</div><div><br></div><div>Another way I love to chill out and forget about stupid work issues is watching the box.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIZYMJxmpmI/AAAAAAAACqw/IIDxIFFOhQA/s400/IMG_2518.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514191759567398498" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br></span></div><div>If you are waiting for me to start on about intellectual and quality TV shows, look away now as my viewing taste is trashy to say the least.</div><div><br></div><div>Right now I <i>lurve</i>......</div><div><ul><li>Deal Or No Deal (Channel 4)</li><li>Dinner Date (ITV)</li><li>Come Dine With Me (Channel 4)</li><li>Dragons Den (BBC2)</li><li>Ultimate Big Brother (Channel 4)</li><li>The Inbetweeners (Channel 4)</li></ul><div>Told you it was trash ;)</div></div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, back to The Inbetweeners...... I have been wearing them literally every day and people have even said my eyes look bluer. I think Amber Lights is one of the most beautiful colours I've seen and I love packing it on with my MAC 239 brush. I also run a little of it under my eye with the same brush.</div><div><br></div><div>So what is your eye shadow combo at the moment? Give me some ideas.</div><div><br></div><div>xx</div><div><br></div><br /><div style="clear: both;"></div><br />Ines Jimenezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00431585402469529573noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8689412641118162884.post-76437734011114064922010-09-14T15:00:00.005-07:002014-04-22T10:08:24.179-07:00NOTD<br /><div>I don't know why but I never really took a shine to the kind of murky, brown colours that have been gracing this seasons nails but the other day I purchased Barry M's Nail Paint in Mushroom. </div><div><br></div><div>Until now I didn't even like Barry M Nail Paints and have always avoided them like the plague. The reason for this is because two I have tried before were total let downs. There was Coral which was a watery, streaky excuse for a nail polish and and the 3 in 1 Basecoat, Top Coat and Nail hardener. I found this just made loads of tiny air bubbles on my nails. It was weird.</div><div><br></div><div>But Mushroom seemed a lot creamier and more opaque than any other nail varnish I've swatched or purchased from Barry M. </div><div><br></div><div>And I was correct because even after one coat the finish is opaque, shiny and perfect. I always do two coats though but one is definitely adequate.</div><div><br></div><div>Here is the nail paint after two coats on my nails:</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIpWZzv56kI/AAAAAAAACrQ/yUR59NlOKgo/s1600/DSC01547.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 230px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIpWZzv56kI/AAAAAAAACrQ/yUR59NlOKgo/s400/DSC01547.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515315695056448066"></a><br><div>This nail polish is absolutely my new love. I'm sure you all know the feeling. I was craving new make up so badly I even missed the beginning of the Ultimate Big Brother final to go in search of new bronzers and foundation.</div><div><br></div><div>I knew I wanted another Soleil Tan De Chanel/Bronze Universel as this is my HG cream bronzer but then I figured I would buy a powder bronzer too for days when I want to use powder products to bronze and set my make up. I also was looking for a foundation which I knew would end up being Revlon Colorstay in 150-Buff. I always seemed to go back to this. It's such a lovely product and I feel like I can always rely on it.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIukbRxm6bI/AAAAAAAACrY/MRidXyehAhs/s400/DSC01551.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515682957180201394" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 337px; "></span></div><div style="text-align: center;">Lyra always likes to have a sniff of what I buy, hehe.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;">And here are the two bronzing products I purchased, opened:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIukb4Dw5vI/AAAAAAAACrg/-L0D1x9VQAU/s400/DSC01553.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515682967456900850" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 318px; "></span></div><div style="text-align: center;">Inglot Bronzing Powder in 75 and Soleil Tan De Chanel</div><div><br></div><div>One brand I've never tried for Bronzers is Inglot. I am very impressed with the quality of their pressed powder which I use over foundation. It is velvety soft when swatched and gives a luminous, soft finish to make up and most importantly, it lasts.</div><div><br></div><div>For reference I'm number 13 in the pressed powder and here's what it looks like.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIulQtIc34I/AAAAAAAACsA/e0iFYeg7vTU/s400/DSC01562.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515683875056836482" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br></span></div><div>I don't know why it has photographed so pink toned. It is more natural looking in real life, though it is definitely more pink than yellow toned.</div><div><br></div><div>They had four powder bronzers available in the store, one of which was out of stock and there was no tester. That was kind of annoying but number 75 seemed good enough for me. </div><div><br></div><div>One thing that I maybe would say about all Inglot powder products, including eye shadows, is that they are extremely powdery. I took a photo of my new bronzer after a couple of swatches to show you this.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIukc000nxI/AAAAAAAACrw/S7wEojvnlVw/s400/DSC01557.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515682983768792850" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); ">So as a result of this there is a bit of waste if you blow away the remaining powder after use. The powder residue is probably there because the product is so finely milled. As far as I'm concerned it's not a problem as I love the feel of the two Inglot powders I have and will definitely repurchase. I used the bronzing powder today and it gave a lovely subtle effect, with absolutely no orange tinge at all. I am pretty pale and even though this looks dark in the pan it is nice and subtle but buildable.</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); "><br></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); ">And I've included a couple of swatches of the bronzers for you. I try to go around once a month, even if its only to do a bit of food shopping.</div><div><br></div><div>I went today and got a mixture of stuff - beauty products, Lyra stuff (awwww!) and some food, mostly cupcakes, YUM!</div><div><br></div><div>Think I'll start with the beauty products. </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIz9HGlzOII/AAAAAAAACsg/VOzm7A44BdM/s1600/IMG_2533.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIz9HGlzOII/AAAAAAAACsg/VOzm7A44BdM/s400/IMG_2533.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516061942092085378"></a><div><br></div><div>Today's planned purchase was the Estee Lauder Daywear Plus Tint. I have seen this in both Pixiwoo and Pixi2woo videos and the girls always rave about how brilliant it makes their skin look. This lotion is supposed to even your skin tone out and the tint in it will illuminate your complexion. I plan to use it as a make up base and also as a moisturiser on non make up days. </div><div><br></div><div>Then of course there were the unavoidable unplanned purchases too. As I was walking round the beauty hall I noticed they had Burberry and Dolce and Gabbana make up. I was really happy to see these as I thought they were only available in Selfridges. I wasn't interested in Burberry as it always reminds me of chavs and I think the patterns they have embossed into the products are cringeworthy. I was definitely interested in D&G though as I wanted to try the nude lipstick. It's called Nude 50. </div><div><br></div><div>Here it is on my lips.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIz9H14Q2oI/AAAAAAAACso/q0nm3F4f2R0/s400/IMG_2552.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516061954785991298" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 188px; "></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br></span></div><div>I <i>love</i> it. It is literally just like MAC Creme D'Nude. It swatches on my skin a little darker than Creme D'Nude but on my lips its lighter and exactly the same, but seems to flatter my complexion more. It's creamy and smooth to apply, it has a slight old lady scent but I can overlook that. The reason I am particularly happy with this lipstick being the same as Creme D'Nude is that I am now refusing to buy Creme because it <i>always</i> melts. I'm on my third one now and it looks like this: </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TI0BHcHpzHI/AAAAAAAACsw/hIJblr1cYnc/s400/IMG_2555.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516066345917729906" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 258px; "></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><br></span></div><div style="text-align: left;">So it looks like we have the answer to the above catastrophe with the D&G lippy. It is slightly more expensive at £20 though. Let's see if it melts I guess.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;">On the lower ground floor of Harrods they have a little chemist type area where I bought the other two products in the picture. Firstly, the Melvita eye gel....I had seen a couple of reviews on <a href="http://www.iheartcosmetics.co.uk/">Sarah's blog</a> about this brand and when I saw it on the shelf thought I'd try something from it. I'm a sucker for eye products and also can't resist when the packaging has words like 'smoothes over wrinkles' and lots of nice sounding ingredients like apricot butter, gingko biloba and buckwheat. I will start using this tonight and then review it here shortly.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;">Lastly for beauty products I got the Sudocrem in a tube. I knew this was available but so far have never been able to find it. I noticed it today and picked one up straight away.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><div style="text-align: left;">Onto the food. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><br></span></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIz9GG9EmpI/AAAAAAAACsY/70cm5NPbD2U/s1600/IMG_2532.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIz9GG9EmpI/AAAAAAAACsY/70cm5NPbD2U/s400/IMG_2532.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516061925009824402"></a><br></div><div>I mainly go for the cupcakes but love the indian bar, Tiffin Bites as well. I got two of the wraps which are amazing heated up. I got chicken tikka and onion bhaji. I also got a couple of salads. The top one is a vegetable and haloumi salad and the other is a pesto pasta salad with sundried tomatoes and olives. At £10 for the two of them these are overpriced in my opinion but trust me they're yum. Lol.</div><div><br></div><div>Now for Lyra's haul:</div><div><br></div><div><br><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIz9E1lENzI/AAAAAAAACsQ/KI9WHb-0lZ8/s1600/IMG_2531.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TIz9E1lENzI/AAAAAAAACsQ/KI9WHb-0lZ8/s400/IMG_2531.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516061903165863730"></a><br><div>He loves the Dandelion chewsticks so that was the main thing I wanted to get for him. I also got him a mineral stone, a wood chew, and some hamster mix. I like to buy different foods for Lyra as I think it's nice for him to have a varied diet instead of the same old thing all the time. I also got a new wheel as his current one is so loud and sometimes keeps me awake even when he's in a different room. So hopefully this one will be a bit quieter.</div><div><br></div><div>Just before we left Harrods to get some lunch in Pret A Manger, mum and I indulged in a glass of champagne each. It dries up in just weeks so today I went and got myself some Lancome Hypnose. Two of my Twitter friends have now said that it's pretty good so I thought I'd give it a go. When I got to the counter there was a new collection which included Hypnose Onyx which is basically Hypnose with more pigment for that 'blacker than black' look that all our favourite beauty brands seem to be latching on to. <div><br></div><div><br><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vhqgBUQrNb8/TJiw718bd0I/AAAAAAAACvI/VlgAxdLev8w/s400/IMG_2599.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519355885481850690" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; "></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); ">Lancome Hypnose and Color Fever Gloss in 272</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); "><br></span></span></div><div><div>One of the Color Fever Glosses in the new collection (sorry I can't remember the name of the collection but it's obviously for Fall) also caught my eye.
